Industry-Specific
Industry Specific Practices
Description of Action:
Our local program exists of partnerships with family farms throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Local produce helps support the farm and communities in which we all live. Buying local is good for the environment, reducing transportation and your carbon footprint. Local produce gets to your plate faster and this extends the shelf life of many products. Local farms utilize the best agricultural practices like effective crop rotation, minimizing the environmental impact of pesticides. Our Primary Farm Partners include:  Eastern Fresh: Cedarville, NJ  Buster Petrongolo Farms: Vineland, NJ  Formisano Farms: Buena, NJ  Cassaday Farms: Monroeville, NJ For a full listing of our local farmers and their seasonal availability, please visit our website at www.ambrogifoods.com/local.
