Management & Leadership Other
Description of Action:
Sue Elkind, the owner of Dig Yoga, is enthusiastically on board with becoming a registered sustainable business as well as implementing as many sustainable practices as possible. She is also very eager to utilize our space to hold information sessions for the community on how to live more sustainably and be more eco-conscious. Steve Frank, the owner of the building, is excited to help take steps toward being more sustainable. Our building is currently more than 80% solar powered and we are in the discussion stage of putting in slow-flow fixtures into the bathrooms (shared space), using rain water barrels, and possibly switching to post-consumer recycled paper towels and eco-friendly cleaners.
Waste Reuse
Description of Action:
We are switching from single use plastic bottles to glass bottles which are more environmentally friendly.
Energy Efficiency

Our building uses 49,885kWh of solar energy and 6,408kWh from JCPL. Dig Yoga's proportional share is 8,630kWh. At JCPL's current rate of 9.4 cents per kWh, this puts Dig's savings at $811.22 annually.
