Description of Action: 
Healing Treatments Massage Studio is dedicated to bringing healing to clients and the environment. By using products that are sustainable, organic, and vegan we are reducing our carbon footprint while bringing therapeutic massage to our clients.

Description of Action: 
Daniela Amato. As a single therapist studio, I am the only person responsible for the Studio's Sustainability.
Annual Environmental Goals
Description of Action: 
My goal is to transform all operations and supplies to sustainable practices and products. When possible, all products are vegan, organic, and sustainably sourced. Everything is recycled properly to reduce waste.
Develop Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Plan
Description of Action: 
I am shifting my purchases to environmentally safe, cruelty-free, and sustainable products. Any paper products are purchased through Green Paper Products. Hand towels will be cloth that can be laundered. Oils and lotions are vegan or Organically Sourced.
Provide Environmentally Preferable Products Services
Description of Action: 
Massage Products are vegan, organic and sustainably sourced. Laundry products have also been changed to environmentally friendly, BPA free. Garbage bags are compostable and biodegradable.
Implement Environmental Management System
Description of Action: 
I have removed water bottles for clients from my studio. I purchased a water dispenser and biodegradable, compostable cups for clients use.
Aspirational Goals
Description of Action: 
My goal is to reduce waste from containers of products as much as possible. Purchasing glass bottles for resale products is top of the list. Recycling all other containers is of upmost importance.

Description of Action: 
I strive to create an environment of healing, both for clients and the environment. Clients often ask about my personal practices and I am ready to share the importance of a vegan, sustainable lifestyle.

Description of Action: 
By eliminating water bottles, it is estimated that I am eliminating about 1296 4 oz bottles from entering the environment. By eliminating 1296 4 oz bottles, it is approximately 13.5 pounds of waste eliminated. If 3 8oz bottles = 1 oz, then 6 4oz= 1 oz. 16 oz = 1 pound. 1296 divided by 6=216 oz = 13.5lbs

Waste Recycling
Description of Action: 
Everything is recycled. Paper products are from either recycled paper or non-paper goods. Plastic containers are recycled. Cups for water are compostable and biodegradable. Garbage bags are compostable and biodegradable.

I have eliminated the use of water bottles for clients. By installing a water cooler and providing compostable and biodegradable cups, I am reducing the negative footprint of plastic waste. The difference in cost is minimal, but that's ok! My primary goal was to reduce plastic and provide fresh clean water for my clients.

Description of Action: 
The studio is on the parking level. It is wheelchair accessible. Adjustments to the interior can be made for ease of entry if the need arises.

Description of Action: 
I participate in the Shop Local in Verona. I also enjoy and frequent businesses in my area. Some are: Amethyst Hair Salon, The Guac Spot, Thai Elephant, and more.
