Description of Action:
We have worked hard to get to zero food waste. Unsold food is donated to local food pantries, child & family services or local families in need. Bruised or damaged food is fed to livestock on our farm. If it cannot be fed to our livestock it is composted. To reduce overall amounts of unsellable foods, we keep a policy like “first in first out” just a bit more detailed.
