Description of Action: 
We are a 100% vegan (plant-based) bakery. Being a vegan bakery, we eliminate environmental costs associated with factory farming and animal-based products. In addition to this, we conduct our business almost entirely digitally without any paper order forms or menus. Receipts are provided via email or text. We use recycled or bio-degradable paper goods when necessary.

All of our shop lighting has been converted to LED. We use minimal lighting when we are not open for customers. All lights are turned off when the bakery is closed.

We minimize our water usage by using a three-compartment sink. To conserve water, the previous rinse compartment will be repurposed for a wash compartment when we need to cycle the water.

Since 2007, we have regularly donated or held events to raise money for non-profit organizations including Bloomfield Animal Shelter, Passaic Animal Shelter, Montclair Animal Shelter, Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, NJSPCA, Garden State Equality, Rutherford Pride Alliance, Halfway Home Animal Rescue, Keep A Breast, Rutherford Ambulance Corps, Rutherford Veterans Alliance, Rutherford Public Library, and more. In January 2022, we took the #BettyWhiteChallenge and donated over $1200 in one day to various animal rescues in NJ and across the country.
