We are in the midst of installing a food composting machine on site to reduce our carbon footprint. Additionally we will utilize the organic product for an onsite expansion of our garden. Adding to that compost are our compostable items in use in the restaurant for the past few years. Sugarcane containers, earth friendly cleaning supplies and compostable stirrers and straws.

Installed a seven level water filtration system for drinking sources, for patrons and staff. Additionally we eliminated the import of bottled water for re-sale to reduce the carbon footprint of transportation.

We have replaced pesticide use with natural and organic substances to control pests. Namely, borax, bay leaves, vinegar, tea tree oil and crushed hot pepper.

We designed and delegated a team in the event of fire or other hazard. We had a volunteer fireman do a walk through with staff in the event of an emergency. The drill is repeated yearly.

Built a raised bed garden on site for vegetables, to add to existing raised bed garden of herbs and zucchini flower. Utilizing food compost to enrich the soil. Reducing delivery of produce from vendor.
