Description of Action: 
Business practices: Our policy is to consider the environment and sustainability in each business choice, making the best choice for the environment, GHG production and impact on water quality as practical - not just the most cost-efficient path. Our policy on inventory is to buy local when there is an option; to test green practice options for daily living and to offer and educate about those choices to encourage and support customers to live with as small a ghg footprint as possible.

We are committed to buying local when possible, buying apparel with sustainable fabric (recycled content) as much as practical, and avoiding excessive packaging when there are alternatives. All office supplies and wrapping options will be as high recycled content as possible.

As mentioned above, we are committed to researching and providing green living products to support consumers moving to plastic free, locally sources products.

We attempt to purchase products that come in as little packaging as possible and reuse packaging for shipping, projects and for craft activities at local events.

Save bubble wrap, peanuts, paper packaging for reuse. Some boxes get repurposed for Terracycle deliveries of specific waste streams that the local Green Team collects.

I chair the local Green Team which achieved Bronze Certification and we are striving for Silver in 2022.
Shop Local
Description of Action: 
My family and I make it a practice to eat once a week at each of two local eateries, buy gas from the local gas station and buy produce, in season, from the local farm stands. I also carry as many items from local artists as they'll bring to me - currently approx 40 local artists represented.
