Our straws are home compostable, and we use paper products whenever possible. Our coffee uses compostable filters. Many of our coffees are fair trade and grown on smaller family owned farms that use sustainable methods. Some are certified organic

We have just begun to offer a substantial discount for any customer who brings their own reusable mug. So far this is saving about 10 disposable cups per week and increasing. On average this practice has helped us save 520 disposable cups. This equates to 5.2 lbs of paper cups and 4.8 lbs of plastic lids per year for a net weight of 10 lbs. We are beginning to work with the Green Team to develop a way to compost our coffee grinds and tea leaf waste locally, bypassing the waste removal cycle. Our straws are home compostable.

Our cold brew system uses a reusable filtering system, saving us about $400 / year. We have LED lighting in parts of the store and solar lighting outside, saving us $1200 /year.

All of our product packaging is as environmentally friendly as possible. Our hot cups are paper, our straws are home compostable, and we strive to use only items that are locally recyclable. Our plates are paper and only given out when eating in.
