Independent Green Buiilding
Description of Action:
The Farmhouse Store in Princeton was built using reclaimed wood in 2015. Instead of a complete demo where the existing walls are torn down and repainted, the walls of the shop are made of old slat wood that did not require demo or painting.

Provide Environmentally Preferable Products Services
Description of Action:
Many wood products sold at the store such as tables, bookshelves, hutches, etc., are made from reclaimed antique barn wood from Pennsylvania. Before being crafted into furniture the wood is housed at a warehouse in Pennsylvania. Additional products such as sofas are made using sustainable frames, eco-friendly dyes, and plant-based cushions.
Support Community Initiatives
Description of Action:
The store gives a platform to artists and supports local artists and craftspeople by featuring locally made and handmade products from glassblowers, potters, etc.
