Our strategic plan for 2018-2021 states (in Pillar 4) that "RVCC recognizes the importance of our continued leadership in promoting the public good and environmental stewardship." Associated with this statement are goals to increase conservation initiatives, including Reducing the campus’s carbon footprint; Reducing water usage by 10% by 2020; Reducing waste and increasing recycling as a percentage of waste (diversion rate)

Stormwater Management and Site Design
Description of Action: 
The College collects rainwater in one 500 gallon and two 800 gallon barrels, one 4000 gallon, and one 2000 gallon tank. The rain barrel water is used to water the gardens and trees, and the tank water is used for toilets and watering a green (vegetated) wall.
