Description of Action:
PFM's equipment rental and lease program for waste equipment also includes upgrades, buy-back, and replacement of old/outdated equipment. PFM established a program in which prior to scrapping the older equipment, we evaluate the parts and determine what can be rebuilt and/or reused in service applications by Premier Compaction Systems (PCS). The savings to our clients is substantial, we give the client an option to get a new part or a rebuilt part with the same guarantee. The parts that are not able to be refurbished are scrapped and recycled. Total equipment parts unable to be refurbished that were scrapped in 2018 are 108 tons-- 216,000 lbs. A sample of our program that stayed in NYC for NYCHA, has extended into all our clients including NJ Municipalities.
