Stormwater Management and Site Design
Description of Action: 
Our parking lot has no storm drains or curbs, all rain fall is washed into bioswales which are planted with Reeds. The roots of the Reeds host carbon digesting bacteria which convert the complex carbon (motor oil) to simple carbon which is sequestered back into the ground. 4.9 million gallons of rain water is cleaned and returned to ground water annually.

Wetlands Protection and Restoration
Description of Action: 
Installed a Constructed Wetlands waste water treatment system. Duke Farms is not connected to city sewage lines. The waste from 500,000 visitors per year is converted on site and 1.2 million gallons of water is returned to ground water each year.
