First, we Installed a water softener to reduce settlement in our hot water heater to keep it running energy efficiently. In addition we have insulated our hot water pipes in the basement. This reduces the amount of wasted water to get it to “temp”. Secondly, we utilize a unique shower head on our sink basins called “Eco-Heads”. Among the other features of the device it modifies the water pressure with a laser cut template. Hair color specifically takes about 6 minutes to wash out using about 16 gallons of water. This device cuts the time to under 3 minutes resulting in about 12 gallons of water saving - per head!
