Description of Action: 
Fashion is the second most polluting industry in the world. We specialize in the resale of gently used luxury apparel and accessories which are meant to last. By purchasing from DoubleTake, our customers reduce textile waste and the environmental pollution generated from the production of new apparel.

Waste Reduction
Description of Action: 
DoubleTake has significantly reduced paper waste in our office by using electronic billing with all vendors and service providers. We also recently overhauled our system of POS documentation to eliminate use of excess paper at all possible points, replacing many paper forms with e-forms.
Waste Reuse
Description of Action: 
DoubleTake has integrated reuse practices into many areas of our business. A long-term practice is the donation to local charitable organizations of unsold and unclaimed garments generated in the resale process. Materials for seasonal retail displays are stored for re-use and repurposing. Even the wire hangers which accumulate from our intake of merchandise are returned to a local dry-cleaner for reuse.
