Shiseido has been ISO14001 certified for Environmental Management since 2000, attached. ISO14001 is an internationally recognized environmental management system certification. Our certificate has been awarded by SGS U.S. Testing Company, Rutherford, NJ and Shiseido is audited annually to confirm that we are in compliance with its standards. I have added an attachment of this standard.

Description of Action: 
Shiseido Americas- EW adopted a Zero Landfill policy in late 2019 and non-recyclable waste is now processed at a waste-to-energy facility.
Waste Reuse
Description of Action: 
Onsite Wastewater Treatment Facility installed a sludge dehydrating press to convert liquid sludge into dried solids or "cake". The dried solids have been accepted by A&M Composting in Manheim, PA and will be composted and reused in athletic and recreational landscaping as well as agricultural use. The press is expected to be in service by Q2 2021.

Shiseido's warehouse underwent a lighting renovation where LED fixtures replaced halogen bulb fixtures. This upgrade reduces the site's electricity consumption, saves money, and provides a safe, well-lit work environment for the employees.
